Morning Adventure:
Start your day: Enjoy a scenic 7 km ride up the lush slopes of Kilimanjaro to Marangu village. This ride will take approximately 1.5 hours.
Chaga ancient cave: Upon arrival in Marangu, visit the Chaga ancient cave and spend approximately 45 minutes immersing yourself in the rich local culture.
Coffee farm visit: Continue your journey with a visit to a small coffee farm located 2 km away, taking about 30 minutes to reach.
Coffee experience: At the coffee farm, learn about coffee cultivation, harvesting, and processing for around 1 hour. Try your hand at processing, roasting, and preparing a fresh cup of coffee in the traditional Chagga way for another 45 minutes. Savor your freshly brewed coffee while learning about the Chagga people’s history and culture for approximately 45 minutes.
Leisurely breakfast: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the coffee farm, featuring local delicacies and flavors, for about 1 hour.
Afternoon:
Ride to Ndoro village: After breakfast, take a 3 km ride to Ndoro village, which will take around 45 minutes.
Ndoro Waterfalls: Hike to the stunning Ndoro Waterfalls and enjoy a refreshing swim in the cool waterfall pools for about 1 hour.
Late Afternoon Relaxation:
Relax and lunch: Take a moment to relax and enjoy a hot lunch by the waterfall pools.
Evening:
Head back to Marangu: Take a 4 km ride back to Marangu village, which will take around 45 minutes.
Cultural center visit: Visit a local Chagga cultural center or market to immerse yourself further in the local culture and enjoy some traditional entertainment. Spend approximately 1 hour here.
Return to base: Conclude your day by enjoying the downhill ride back to base, reflecting on the day’s adventures. This final 7 km ride will take approximately 1 hour.
